We're committed to making our community a better place to grow up by making sure it is full of all sorts of adventure possibilities for kids of all ages. One thing we really lament is the loss of use of the river as a recreational opportunity for kids and families. Towards this end we are working to help develop this resource - our pie in the sky dream is to develop the infrastructure for and organize a youth stand up paddle boarding club and a youth kayak/canoe team over the next few years. The first step in this process is to get permits and funding for a boat storage facility (what we call the 'boathouse project') on the Red River that would serve as a meeting place/training facility for the club and team.
