I want to thank you for having the vision and energy to bring this sort of adventure to Grand Forks. People like you make this a better community to live in.

Community Projects
We're committed to making our community a better place to grow up by making sure it is full of all sorts of adventure possibilities for kids of all ages. One thing we really lament is the loss of use of the river as a recreational opportunity for kids and families. Towards this end we are working to help develop this resource - our pie in the sky dream is to develop the infrastructure for and organize a youth stand up paddle boarding club and a youth kayak/canoe team over the next few years. The first step in this process is to require permission and funding for boat storage facility (boat house) on the Red River that would serve as a meeting place/training facility for the club and team. Details as to the progress of this endeavor are below.
A second project that is in the works is the creation of a semi-permanent orienteering course on the Grand Forks Greenway. This would be free and open to the public and allow an easy way for school groups and scouting troops to be exposed to map and compass navigation. Details are below.
