Joel moved to Grand Forks in 1998 to get an education.  He is a 2002 and 2005 graduate of UND eventually ending up with a law degree.  He is currently employed at Camrud, Maddock, Olson & Larson, Ltd. focusing his practice in criminal defense.  Joel is a married father with two amazing boys.  Joel is relatively new to the wild world of adventure, competing in his first adventure in 2007 at the first END-AR.  He was quickly hooked and continues to race whenever he can.  Joel runs, rides bike, climbs, adventure races and is open for just about anything that his work and family schedule allows.  He's just your average Joel.
